Today in the mail, I got my artist postcards! I love them, and they turned out great! Color looks awesome, everything is clean, and it was a great price. Overnightprints.com rules! :) I can't wait to send some out. Although, I did just add a DA portfolio to my profile, so I suppose I will have to add that URL by hand to the cards. :) Last week while I was visiting Pittsfield, MA, I stopped in to the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge for that visit I wrote about in my last journal, and IT. With spring just around the corner (we hope!), I have sent out for my first wave of mailers... (See my scrapbook/ promotional cards folder in my gallery) 100 cards total so far; who knows where they will all go, who knows who might respond, and who knows how long it will be before I redesign new ones and print even more! :) How are you supposed to represent yourself and your work on a tiny little postcard- even at over sized 5x7? (Hoping my marketing and business illustration classes will show me the way next quarter... ;)) Still updating my work here when I can; I have a beefier scrapbook, and I've organized my gallery for easier viewing. I can't believe I'm almost through winter quarter! Been working hard. :) Still waiting for Grad School acceptance (obviously), and even still working on a few applications... But looking forward to the summer nonetheless, even with a few unanswered questions hovering. I've updated my scrapbook! There are a bunch of things in there, now... Mainly from my sketcbook class last quarter, but also a handful of graphite portraits I've done of my little sister.
